Fall

I'm so excited for fall! It is my second favorite season. The only thing I don't like about fall is going back to school. I can't wait for school football games and for hockey to start. It will be so fun to finally get to go to a Blues game after not being to one since January. I also can't wait for pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks. I usually hate wearing jeans and hoodies but this year I'm excited to put away my summer clothes. I'm also very excited for bonfires with my family and friends. Halloween is another thing I like about fall. My friend and I already have our costumes planned out.

Intro

My name is Kylee Herrell. I will be using this blog throughout first semester.

snakes

picture from here
Yesterday, I was outside looking for worms to fish with, so I was digging in a mulch pile in the woods and I found a shingle that fell off of our house. I lifted up the shingle and saw a baby snake. We find baby ring-necked snakes almost everyday at our house, so I picked it up thinking that it was just a baby ring-necked snake. When I picked it up, I realized that it didn't have a ring around it's neck. It was all black with a pink stomach. We had never found one before, so I tried looking it up on my phone and found out that it was a pink-bellied mud snake.

what really bugs me

PICTURE FROM HERE
What really bugs me is homework. there are some teachers that don't give any homework, then there are teachers who give homework. I have never had a teacher that gives homework on the first day of school until seventh grade. Most of the time students expect to go back to school and not do anything on the first day, but when a teacher gives homework on the first day of school, you know that there is a lot more to come. I hate homework  especially when you don't get any time in class to work on it. I think that if the teacher gives homework, we should at least get a few minutes to work on it.

six flags

PICTURE FROM HERE
My favorite ride at six flags is Mr. Freeze. I love all roller coasters, especially the ones that go upside down. Mr. Freeze used to start out forward and end backwards, but now they turned it around. Now it starts backwards and end forward. I also really like the Batman. Unlike many roller coasters, the car hangs from the track instead of riding on it. Also unlike many roller coasters, there are five people in each car and your feet hang off of the car.

sports

I love all sports, especially soccer and basketball. I have played soccer since I was in kindergarten. I played for Desoto until fourth grade, then I started playing CYC through our lady school. I also started playing basketball at a young age. The first time I ever played basketball, it wasn't for a real team. It was just to teach us how to handle the ball such as dribbling the ball and running down the court at the same time. After we learned how to keep control over the ball, we learned how to shoot the ball. I love basketball and soccer.

kid nation 5

group- There are four groups in kid nation yellow, green, blue, and red. Every week they all run an obstacle to figure out what group is upper class, merchants, cooks, and laborers. Upper class gets $1.00, merchants get $0.50, cooks get $0.25, and laborers get $0.10. Every kid has to do the best that they can to make the town a better place.

conflict- The council read more in the journal and it said something about having a reelection for the leader. There was some conflict between Anjay and Olivia because Anjay was a leader but Olivia doesn't like him to be leader. She ran against him in the election. Olivia is going around the district and telling everyone that they need to vote for her.

secondary group-Kid nation is a secondary group because they share a goal to clean up bonanza city. They all have to do their jobs in order to clean up the town. If they don't do their jobs then they wont be able to get the town cleaned up in 40 days. Every week they have an obstacle to go through to see who will be the upper class, merchants, cooks, and laborers.
