snakes

picture from here
Yesterday, I was outside looking for worms to fish with, so I was digging in a mulch pile in the woods and I found a shingle that fell off of our house. I lifted up the shingle and saw a baby snake. We find baby ring-necked snakes almost everyday at our house, so I picked it up thinking that it was just a baby ring-necked snake. When I picked it up, I realized that it didn't have a ring around it's neck. It was all black with a pink stomach. We had never found one before, so I tried looking it up on my phone and found out that it was a pink-bellied mud snake.

what really bugs me

PICTURE FROM HERE
What really bugs me is homework. there are some teachers that don't give any homework, then there are teachers who give homework. I have never had a teacher that gives homework on the first day of school until seventh grade. Most of the time students expect to go back to school and not do anything on the first day, but when a teacher gives homework on the first day of school, you know that there is a lot more to come. I hate homework  especially when you don't get any time in class to work on it. I think that if the teacher gives homework, we should at least get a few minutes to work on it.

six flags

PICTURE FROM HERE
My favorite ride at six flags is Mr. Freeze. I love all roller coasters, especially the ones that go upside down. Mr. Freeze used to start out forward and end backwards, but now they turned it around. Now it starts backwards and end forward. I also really like the Batman. Unlike many roller coasters, the car hangs from the track instead of riding on it. Also unlike many roller coasters, there are five people in each car and your feet hang off of the car.

sports

I love all sports, especially soccer and basketball. I have played soccer since I was in kindergarten. I played for Desoto until fourth grade, then I started playing CYC through our lady school. I also started playing basketball at a young age. The first time I ever played basketball, it wasn't for a real team. It was just to teach us how to handle the ball such as dribbling the ball and running down the court at the same time. After we learned how to keep control over the ball, we learned how to shoot the ball. I love basketball and soccer.

kid nation 5

group- There are four groups in kid nation yellow, green, blue, and red. Every week they all run an obstacle to figure out what group is upper class, merchants, cooks, and laborers. Upper class gets $1.00, merchants get $0.50, cooks get $0.25, and laborers get $0.10. Every kid has to do the best that they can to make the town a better place.

conflict- The council read more in the journal and it said something about having a reelection for the leader. There was some conflict between Anjay and Olivia because Anjay was a leader but Olivia doesn't like him to be leader. She ran against him in the election. Olivia is going around the district and telling everyone that they need to vote for her.

secondary group-Kid nation is a secondary group because they share a goal to clean up bonanza city. They all have to do their jobs in order to clean up the town. If they don't do their jobs then they wont be able to get the town cleaned up in 40 days. Every week they have an obstacle to go through to see who will be the upper class, merchants, cooks, and laborers.

kid nation 7

deviance- Divad started a snack shop and some people got mad because she was taking food from the kitchen that anyone can get for free and she is selling it for $0.05. Jared decided that he thought it was unfair that Divad could sell food. He decided that he was going to sell food because Divad had no competition. Some of the kids started yelling at him and he got mad. He tipped over Divad's tables with all of her food.

deviant- Taylor is a deviant because she doesn't follow the rules that the council makes. For example, when the council decided to take the trash away from the town, Taylor was one of the people who was supposed to go and she refused because she said she had other things to do. When the town got back, Taylor was sitting around doing nothing. The council gave her a punishment and she refused to do it as well.

stigma- Taylor is lazy and doesn't want to do anything. She is afraid to get dirty. Everyone is sick of her sitting around, sleeping in, yelling at people, and doing nothing while everyone else is working really hard. All of the kids call her lazy, rude, and other names.

kid nation 6

authority- Zach and Guylan are the new leaders. Guylan is the new leader for the red team and Zach is the new leader for the yellow team. Laurel and Anjay are still the leaders for the green and blue team. The council is the authority because they have power over the group.

cooperation- The council decided that the trash pile was getting disgusting so the council picked out some people to go to with them and pick up the trash and take it far away from the town and bury it. Taylor was one of the people that was supposed to go, but she didn't want to go so she stayed back and did nothing the whole time. When the council came up with a punishment, Taylor was supposed to collect water and fill up the tank. instead she filled up two buckets and poured them onto the ground.Taylor is not cooperating with the council.

groupthink- DK was going to go home because he was sick of all of the drama. Guylan talked to DK because the town needs him to stay. DK decided yo stay because he realized that everyone needed him and that everyone needs him and that he can't run away from his problems. He got the gold star and decided he was going to stay for the rest of the time.
